SINGAPORE IDOL VS MALAYSIAN IDOL

went to east coast park early this afternoon..the place is not as pack as last time though it's saturday..set up our tent there and chit chat together..with the pristine white sand, azure blue sky and soothing wind blowing through my tresses...what more can i ask..haha..we chat while we eat finger food..yum-yum..after a while..i took a dive in the sea..u can see ppl kayaking and windsurfing..so damn nice..anyway..went home around 6 ++ to make sure we catch MUSIKA EXTRAVAGANZA ..

WOW!! that the only thing i can describe bout MUSIKA EXTRAVAGANZA ..its like a colaboration of singapore and malaysian singers..damn good idea..

let me intro some of them to u..

SINGAPORE ARTISTES

TAUFIQ BATISAH

Wowing the hearts of many, Taufik Batisah clinched the title as the first Singapore Idol. His first album Blessings shock the local music industry when it hit the 30,000 double platinum mark which can be attributed to his large fan base

SOME S'PORE IDOL FINALIST

Singapore Idol Finalist, 2004 : Daphne, Leandra, Jessea and Christopher

Daphne Khoo

Despite being one of the youngest Singapore Idol finalist, Daphne's has unique tone and even more unique singing style. Her 'little girl lost' look and husky-high voice belie a talented singer-songwriter who is very serious about her music.

Leandra Veronica Rasiah

This mixed African American and Eurasian lass possesses a blues-y voice and has perfect rhythm. Just under 18, Leandra is one of the youngest contestants, but she has always known she is unique and talented. She even sang for Michael Jackson when she was 9 at a private showcase during his visit to Singapore.

Jeassea K. Thyidor

Fun-seeking and disciplined, Jeassea has a powerful voice and is a wonderfully creative dancer. This pretty Eurasian lass' stage presence and strong vocals during the Singapore Idol's performance show drew unanimous praise from the judges.
Christopher Lee The tenor with a semi-classical style was a much loved character in the recent Singapore Idol. With a nickname like "chrissypoo", who can deny that. This Josh Groban and Maroon 5 fan is now actively fielding offers for private gigs and benefit concerts.

EKA MAIRINA

She rose to fame in Singapore after her victory performance in Suria's Anugerah 2003. Eka has been very active as a singer/performer since young and has been winning talent competitions in Indonesia. She won the Asia Bagus weekly and monthly championship and came in as Runner-up for the Grand Championship in 1996, and in 1997, she won the Asia University Singing Competition.

MALAYSIAN ARTISTES

Siti Nurhaliza

The Malaysian nightingale whose unique voice transformed her into the most sought after singer in her birth country with millions of fans from Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei and not forget her international fans from China, Japan and recently London when she performed at the Royal Albert Hall. Despite her youth, she has won more awards than any other artistes as well as endorsements to her name.

Jaclyn Victor

Her exquisite and flawless performance made her the inaugural winner of the first Malaysian Idol last year. She recently released her de-but album called Gemilang.

Vince

This inaugural winner of Akademi Fantasia 2003 is also the first male artist chosen to represent Malaysia in the Asia Music Festival 2004 in Shanghai, clinching the 3rd place. Vince recently won the Artis Baru Lelaki Terbaik in Anugerah Planet Muzik 2005 held in Singapore.

malaysian idol, Jac and as u all know our all time s'pore idol, Taufiq, duet with each other singing "MY BOO" by Usher feat Alicia Keys..the song is nice and taufiq's voice really goes well with the song..Jac however..does not song good enough..alicia keys sing nicer as she has a husky, deep and soulful voice..wherelse jac's is like 'i donno how to describe it' its like her voice does not suit the song and she has that tamil slang when she sings..so she sounds awful to me and taufiq shine in that song..nice one..

not only that..there's this s'pore singer "Eka Mairina" who really resemblance "Jessea K Thidor"...it like they look so damn alike..haha..

Vince also have a chance to duet with the spore idol finalist..cool..

taufiq also get his wish that is to duet with malaysian singer "Siti Nurhaliza"...but this time Siti shines him..she sings very well and was wearing a damn bee.UU.ti.Ful dress..she look very sweet in it..haha..
